🧘♀️ 1. The “Two Breaths Before the Call” Rule
Before every cold call, demo, or tough follow-up…
Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
Hold for 2
Exhale slowly for 6
Repeat twice.
Why it works:
🧠 You switch your nervous system from fight-or-flight to focus-and-flow
🥶 You speak slower, sound calmer, and feel more in control
✍️ 2. Write the Worst-Case Story (Then Rewrite It)
When stress hits, grab pen + paper. Ask:
“What’s the story I’m telling myself right now?”
Example:
“They haven’t replied = they’re not interested = I’m terrible at sales = I’ll miss target.”
Now rewrite that story as if you were your own coach.
“They haven’t replied = maybe they’re busy. I’ll follow up with value and take a breath.”
🚫 In the end you can’t control what they do.
✅ But you can control how you talk to yourself.
🎭 3. Pick Your Role Before You Start
Before every sales interaction, ask:
“Who do I want to be in this moment?”
🎯 The expert?
🎤 The guide?
💡 The curious challenger?
Actors do this before every scene.
Top sellers do this before every meeting.
You don’t need to fake confidence.
You need to choose your posture.
