3 Mindset Exercises to hit Target!

I firmly believe that Sales doesn't start with Pipeline!

It starts with our Mindset. It’s about performing under pressure, even when:

You’ve had 48 ā€œno’sā€ in a row. Your CRM is a mess. And your prospect just ghosted you after spending 3 hours on their proposal.

I get it! It sucks! But here’s the good news:

Mindset is not magic. It’s trainable! 

Here are the top 3 mindset tools we shared — so you can use them right away šŸ‘‡

 

šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø 1. The ā€œTwo Breaths Before the Callā€ Rule

Before every cold call, demo, or tough follow-up…

Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
Hold for 2
Exhale slowly for 6

Repeat twice.

Why it works:
🧠 You switch your nervous system from fight-or-flight to focus-and-flow
🄶 You speak slower, sound calmer, and feel more in control

 

āœļø 2. Write the Worst-Case Story (Then Rewrite It)

When stress hits, grab pen + paper. Ask:

ā€œWhat’s the story I’m telling myself right now?ā€

Example:

ā€œThey haven’t replied = they’re not interested = I’m terrible at sales = I’ll miss target.ā€

Now rewrite that story as if you were your own coach.

ā€œThey haven’t replied = maybe they’re busy. I’ll follow up with value and take a breath.ā€

🚫 In the end you can’t control what they do.
āœ… But you can control how you talk to yourself.

 

šŸŽ­ 3. Pick Your Role Before You Start

Before every sales interaction, ask:

ā€œWho do I want to be in this moment?ā€

šŸŽÆ The expert?
šŸŽ¤ The guide?
šŸ’” The curious challenger?

Actors do this before every scene.
Top sellers do this before every meeting.

You don’t need to fake confidence.
You need to choose your posture.
