📩 Cold Emailing in DACH

With all of the AI noise I needed to ask myself... is Cold Emailing dead? 

And I can savely say... It is not 🙂‍↔️

But lazy cold emailing? Oh yeah, absolutely!

At Sales in DACH, we’ve tested hundreds of outreach strategies across sellers and buyers in Germany, Austria & Switzerland.

Here’s what we found has been converting in 2025👇

#1 The Subject Line: 

Keep it boring (yes, really...🤷‍♀️)
🏆 Top performer: "Connection Request"

Why? It triggers curiosity and strokes the ego.
Everyone wants to be connected with.
It’s low-pressure, human, and intriguing.

Next step?
Drop another email in the same thread.
One of the best-performing follow-up lines?

“Do you think this is still relevant or would it make more sense to reconnect another time?”

Then send a new email with subject line:

“Follow-Up”

Results:

We see open rates go up to 60%+.

#2 The Cold Email Body Framework 

Line 1 – Hyper relevance 

“I saw you’re hiring 3 SDRs in Berlin – congrats!”

Line 2 – Problem framing + value 

“Are you also looking to ramp new hires fast?
If you’re aiming to drive 20% more pipeline in the next 4 weeks, I’d love to connect you with one of our customers.”

Line 3 – CTA 

💡 So... here's an interesting learning! 

For female prospects, we saw in our data that a softer CTA is more succesful:

“Let me know if this is relevant, I would love to connect!”

For a male prospect, it's a hard CTA we found books meetings faster:

"If this sounds relevant how about we have a chat next week? I'd be free Wednesday after 2pm."

 🎯 That’s it. No fluff. No essay intros. Just relevance, pain, and value.

Just say what you want and why it matters to THEM.
